📜 Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GoobFarms ("the Game", "the Platform", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Game.

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Major changes will be announced via our Discord and/or in-game.

2. What GoobFarms Is

GoobFarms is a browser-based farming simulation game built on ApeChain. You can:

• Farm virtual crops (Goobcumbers, Chillies, Garlic, Berries)
• Pickle and enchant produce in your Cellar
• Trade at the Market for in-game currency (Goobloons)
• Compete in mini-games (Duels, Brawls, Dungeons, Word of the Day)
• Interact with other players via Entries (social notes)
• Collect achievements and climb leaderboards

3. Account & Access

Wallet-Based Identity

Your game account is tied to your wallet address. We use Glyph for authentication — you sign a message with your wallet to prove ownership. We never have access to your private keys.

Username

You may choose a username (3-20 characters). Once set, usernames are permanent and cannot be changed. Choose wisely. Inappropriate usernames may be reset at our discretion.

Your Responsibility

• You are responsible for securing your wallet and private keys.
• Lost wallet access means lost game access — we cannot recover accounts.
• You may not share, sell, or transfer your account.

5. Purchases & Payments

How Purchases Work

Purchases are made by sending cryptocurrency (APE) to our smart contract on ApeChain. Once the transaction is confirmed on-chain, the purchase is complete and your account is credited.

Pricing

All prices are listed in APE and may change at any time. We reserve the right to modify bundles, bonuses, and pricing without notice.

Gift Purchases

You may purchase Energy or MACPASS for another wallet. Ensure the recipient address is correct — transactions to wrong addresses cannot be recovered.

6. Fair Play & Conduct

Prohibited Behavior

• Automation: No bots, scripts, macros, or automated play.
• Exploits: Do not exploit bugs, glitches, or unintended mechanics. Report them instead.
• Manipulation: No market manipulation, wash trading, or coordinated schemes.
• Multi-accounting: One primary account per person for fair leaderboard competition.
• Harassment: No bullying, threats, doxxing, or targeted abuse of other players.
• Impersonation: Do not impersonate GoobFarms team members or other players.
• Spam: No spam, excessive self-promotion, or flood-posting in Entries.

Consequences

Violations may result in:

• Temporary or permanent account restrictions
• Removal from leaderboards
• Loss of Entries posting privileges
• Forfeiture of in-game items or currency
• Ban from all GoobFarms services

We reserve the right to take action at our sole discretion. There is no appeals process, though you may contact us to discuss.

7. Community Guidelines (Entries)

Entries are public social notes visible to all players. When posting:

Be Respectful

• No harassment, hate speech, threats, or doxxing
• No exploitative or illegal content
• No graphic or disturbing content

Community Moderation

Entries use a community-driven moderation system:

• Players can like (👍) or dislike (👎) notes
• High-consensus dislikes can hide content from public feed
• Flagged content is queued for admin review
• Repeated violations reduce posting privileges

Charisma System

Your Charisma score reflects community reception of your contributions. High Charisma unlocks social features; negative Charisma may limit your ability to post.

8. Game Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, at any time and without notice:

• Game mechanics and balance (crop times, prices, yields)
• Item prices and market dynamics
• Reward structures and leaderboard calculations
• Feature availability and NFT gates
• MACPASS benefits and access duration
• Energy costs and bundles
• Season resets and leaderboard wipes

We may also:

• Add, remove, or modify game features
• Perform maintenance with or without notice
• Shut down the game entirely (we don't plan to, but life happens)

9. Blockchain & On-Chain Data

On-Chain Ledger

Key game actions are recorded on ApeChain via our NgmiLandLedger smart contract. This provides:

• Transparency — anyone can verify game activity
• Audit trail — permanent record of in-game economy
• Integrity — tamper-resistant game state

Permanence

On-chain records are permanent. Once recorded on the blockchain, data cannot be deleted, even if you delete your account.

Gas & Transaction Costs

Purchases require blockchain transactions. Any gas/transaction fees are your responsibility (though ApeChain has low fees).

10. Intellectual Property

Our Content

All game content (art, code, music, text, characters, mechanics) is owned by GoobFarms and its licensors. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.

Your Content

Content you create (usernames, Entries posts, profile choices) remains yours, but you grant us a license to display and use it within the Game.

Third-Party NFTs

NFT artwork displayed in the game (profile pictures, team icons) belongs to their respective creators. GoobFarms displays these under fair use for identification purposes.

11. Disclaimers & Limitations

No Warranties

GoobFarms is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• Uptime or availability
• Bug-free operation
• Preservation of game progress
• Future feature development

Not Financial Advice

Nothing in GoobFarms constitutes financial, investment, or legal advice. Do not treat in-game items or currencies as investments. There is no expectation of profit.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GoobFarms and its team shall not be liable for:

• Lost profits, data, or digital assets
• Account access issues due to wallet loss
• Smart contract bugs or blockchain issues
• Third-party wallet or service failures
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount you paid to GoobFarms in the past 12 months.

12. Termination

By You

You may stop using GoobFarms at any time. Contact us if you want your data deleted (subject to limitations in our Privacy Policy).

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. Reasons may include:

• Violation of these Terms
• Suspected fraud or abuse
• Legal requirements
• Game shutdown

Termination does not entitle you to refunds of any kind.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law. You waive any right to participate in class actions.

14. Miscellaneous

• Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
• Entire Agreement: These Terms (plus Privacy Policy) constitute the entire agreement.
• No Waiver: Failure to enforce a provision doesn't waive our right to enforce it later.
• Assignment: We may assign these Terms; you may not.
• Survival: Sections on liability, disclaimers, and intellectual property survive termination.
